PROROGATA AL MOCA LA MOSTRA DI NIDAA BADWAN

Due mesi e mezzo dopo il suo primo arrivo a Montecatini per l’inaugurazione della mostra “Cento giorni di solitudine”, la giovane artista palestinese Nidaa Badwan è tornata in città per una breve visita. Felice per il visto ottenuto che le permette di vivere adesso più serenamente a San Marino, Nidaa ha appreso direttamente dalle parole dell’assessore Bruno Ialuna la notizia che la mostra al Moca (Montecatini Contemporary Art) sarà prolungata di altri due mesi. Non chiuderà insomma il 6 gennaio 2016 ma il 13 marzo 2016, consentendo quindi a numerose scuole della zona, a curiosi e appassionati di vedere da vicino e con più tempo a disposizione l’allestimento al piano terra di viale Verdi. Compresa la camera di casa sua, riprodotta nelle sue dimensioni originali.

Intanto la mostra di Nidaa Badwan sta continuando a far parlare di sé, portandosi dietro ancora l’eco della protesta tutta particolare messa in atto quando ancora viveva a Gaza e si auto recluse in camera sua per 14 mesi, iniziando a scattare foto su foto. Lottando così contro il regime di Hamas e immaginando un mondo migliore tra le mura di casa.

“La visita di Nidaa ci rende orgogliosi – ha detto l’assessore Ialuna – per il messaggio che ha inviato al mondo da quando ha deciso di ribellarsi, per il suo coraggio e per l’onore che abbiamo ancora di ospitare le sue opere qui a Montecatini. La mostra resterà aperta ancora a lungo, fino a metà marzo,  lo annunciamo con piacere augurandoci ancora di riavere Nidaa qui in città in mezzo ai suoi molti impegni. Adesso sta svolgendo l’importante attività di assistente all’università di San Marino ed è un’artista tra le più richieste. Complimenti a Nidaa”.

Dopo Montecatini l’artista esporrà anche in Danimarca, al Trapholt Museum of Modern Art, ma ci sono già contatti con altri importanti musei.

La Cooperativa Le Macchine Celibi che gestisce il Moca proporrà ogni terza domenica del mese una visita guidata gratuita “all’ultimo minuto” della durata di 1h presso il Montecatini Contemporary Art.

A seguire la visita proseguirà lungo gli altri ambienti del museo dove si potranno apprezzare i capolavori dell’arte del Novecento fra cui Mirò ed Annigoni

NIDAA BADWAN “100 DAYS of solitude” exhibition at Mo.C.A. is EXTENDED!

After two and a half months since her arrival in Montecatini Terme, because of the inauguration of the exhibition “One hundred days of solitude“, the young Palestinian artist Nidaa Badwan is back in town for a short visit. Nidaa, nowadays very happy for the visa obtained and that allows her to live more peacefully in San Marino, has learned by Bruno Ialuna (Department of Culture of Montecatini Terme Municipality) that her exhibition at Mo.C.A. (Montecatini Contemporary Art) is extended for two months. The exhibition will not close the January 6, 2016 but the March 13, 2016, allowing many schools in the area and passionate people to visit her works of art and the reproduction of her house in Palestine, for more time.

Meanwhile, Nidaa’s exhibition is going to be talked about and continues to emphasize her protest, implemented when she was still living in Gaza, locking herself in her room for 14 months, starting to take pictures: taking pictures for fighting the Hamas regime, imagining a better world.

“The visit by Nidaa makes us proud,” said Bruno Ialuna, “just for the message that she sent to the world since she decided to rebel and for her extraordinary courage! We are honoured to host her works of art here in Montecatini Terme. The exhibition will be open much longer, until mid March, and we hope to get Nidaa here in town despite her many commitments. Nowadays, she is ranked as one of the most popular artist in the word and she is carrying out the important task of Assistant at the University of San Marino… Congratulations to Nidaa! “

The artist will exhibit in Denmark at Trapholt Museum of Modern Art, but her works of art are required by  other important museums in Europe.

The cooperative “Macchine Celibi” that nowadays handles the Mo.C.A. gallery, will offer free tours “at the last minute“ every third Sunday of the month, lasting 1:00 hour at the Montecatini Contemporary Art.

To follow, the visit will continue along the rest of the Museum where you will appreciate the masterpieces of Twentieth Century art including Mirò and Annigoni’s work of art. The exhibition doesn’t need reservation – the visit is free.

Adesso, dopo quasi due anni di isolamento nella sua camera, Nidaa è riuscita ad arrivare a Montecatini Terme, grazie al decisivo lavoro diplomatico di Padre Ibrahim Faltas, responsabile dello Status Quo nella Basilica della Natività di Betlemme.Gli israeliani non le hanno concesso il permesso di lasciare la Striscia. Erano più di venti anni che una cittadina palestinese non si imbarcava su di un aereo in partenza dall’aeroporto Ben Gurion di Tel Aviv, e questo è già un evento. Nell’ambito del 10° Festival “Armonia dei popoli”, Nidaa Badwan martedì 22 settembre, alle ore 17, nella sala consiliare del Comune di Montecatini Terme, ha incontrato la stampa nazionale per raccontare la sua storia e presentare la sua prima esposizione fotografica fuori dalla Palestina. La mostra, dal titolo “Cento giorni di solitudine”, è allestita alla Galleria Civica MOCA (Montecatini Contemporary Art) e visitabile dal 26 settembre 2015 al 6 gennaio 2016

Nowadays, after nearly two years of isolation in her room, Nidaa managed to reach Montecatini Terme, thanks to decisive diplomatic work by Father Ibrahim Faltas, head of the Status Quo in the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem. The Israelis have not given permission to leave the Strip. It was more than 20 years that a Palestinian town embarked on a plane departing from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, and this is already an important event! Under the 10th Festival “harmony of people”, September 22, at 17, Nidaa Badwan, in the Council Chamber of the town of Montecatini Terme met the national press to tell her story and present her first photographic exhibition outside Palestine. The exhibition, titled “one hundred days of solitude“, is set up at the Civic Gallery Mo.C.A. (Montecatini Contemporary Art): it is open to the public from September 26, 2015  to January 6, 2016 September 26, 2015.
